Game 75, Los Angeles Kings Vs. Minnesota Wild
March 28th, Kings losing streak extended to a season high four games
The Kings dropped down in the standings, leading the 9th place Calgary Flames by only 5 points. After a scoreless 1st period, the Wild struck early in the 2nd, as Owen Nolan scored on a backhanded rebound, a powerplay goal. Six minutes later, Brent Burns scored on a drive to the front of the net with a wrist shot, giving the Wild a 2 goal lead. In response, 5 minutes later Scott Parse scored on a slapshot from the point, deflecting off of a Wild stick, 2-1 Wild lead. Early in the 3rd, Scott Parse scored his second of the game, a one timer off a pass from Brad Richardson. Martin Havlat scored with 12:22 remaining in the 3rd, giving the Wild the 2 points with a 3-2 win over the Kings. The Kings must break their losing streak in order to clinch a playoff position. They face the Predators in Nashville tomorrow night.
