Game 74, Dallas Stars Vs. Los Angeles Kings
March 27th, Kings upended by the Stars
The Kings were unable to hold onto their one goal lead, and fell to the Dallas Stars. The Kings opened the scoring at the 15:52 mark of the 1st period, as Michal Handzus scored on a rebound, giving the Kings a 1-0 lead. The Stars rejuvenated themselves and came out hard in the 2nd period, scoring just 17 seconds in with a bang-bang play, finished by Brenden Morrow. At the 4:20 mark of the 2nd, Brad Richards scored on a powerplay, giving the Stars a 1 goal lead. Just 5 minutes later, Brad Richards scored his 2nd goal of the night, missing the net initially, but getting a pass and firing the puck past Kings goaltender, Jonathan Quick, 3-1 Stars. Steve Ott scored a minute into the 3rd, with a rebound wrist shot, giving the Stars a 4-1 win over the Kings. The Kings must turn things around in order to secure a position for the playoffs.
