The Kings look to prolong their 2 game winning streak to 3 as they prepare for a battle against the Phoenix Coyotes. 4:11 in the 1st Wayne Simmonds brings the puck down the boards and wraps it around with a pass to Oscar Moller as he snipes Ilya Bryzgalov. Jack Johnson at 13:37 at the point hitting off the post, then he gets his own rebound and smacks one home. 16:55 Scottie Upshall gets a pass on a 2 on 1 and barely beats quick short side, 2-1 Kings lead. During the second period there is no action except for the odd hit and a few good chances. The Coyotes over power the Kings in the 3rd and at 3:12 Radim Vrbata scores a powerplay goal, 2-2 tie. The Kings hold the Coyotes for the remainder of the 3rd and overtime, leading into a shootout. The Kings goaltender, Jonathan Quick plays great and leads the Kings to the longest shootout in Kings history, an 8 round shootout, thanks to Justin Willams for ending it and giving the Kings +2 points. The Kings hope for another great game against the Dallas Stars Saturday night.
