Kings won’t take another loss against the Wild
Kings won’t allow the Wild to defeat them once again as they play them for the second time in 3 days. Brad Richardson starts the Kings off at 6:35 in the first by jamming in a rebound. Alexander Frolov puts another one on the board at 15:49 catching Niklas Backstrom out of position. As the Kings are all pumped up, Ryan Smyth keeps a icing attempt in the zone and rips one from the point, 3-0 Kings lead. Michal Handzus gets the Kings their only 2nd period goal at 3:17, a one timer from backdoor. As a response to the Kings goal, Andrew Brunette shoots when Jonathan Quick is on the other side of the net, 4-1 Kings. The Wild keep the pressure on and Owen Nolan scores a late 3rd period goal, 4-2 Wild. Alexander Frolov ends the Wild’s momentum with a nice empty net goal, final 5-2 Kings.
