Game 79, Los Angeles Kings Vs. Anaheim Ducks
April 3rd, The Kings come back in a shootout
The Kings still furious about their previous loss to the Ducks come out with some momentum. Despite their anger, they are still pummeled by the Ducks in the 1st period. 5 minutes into the 1st, Jason Blake scores on a behind the net pass, and a one timer past goaltender Jonathan Quick. Teemu Selanne gives the Ducks a 2 goal lead at 16:48 in the 1st with a rebound over Quick’s pad. 2 minutes into the 2nd, Bobby Ryan scores from a mistake by Randy Jones. 9:46 in the 2nd, Dustin Brown scores on a rebound by hitting the puck out of mid air and into the top corner, 3-1 Kings. The Kings put goaltender Erik Ersberg into the net to replace Quick. Selanne scores another goal for the Ducks at 12:19 in the 2nd, a five whole one timer. 16:41 in the 2nd, Alexander Frolov was in front of the net and a Ducks defender hits the puck into his own net by accident, 4-2 Ducks lead. 7:56 in the 3rd, Justin Williams pulls the puck and fakes a wrap around and pulls it short side, bringing the Kings within 1 goal. 18:51 in the 3rd, Michal Handzus scores back hander when he receives a pass backdoor, tying the score at 4. The Kings look to beat the Coyotes and get into 5th place overall for the playoffs.
