The Kings headed out to Texas to play the Dallas Stars after the previous 3-0 loss against the Devils. Despite the Kings overwhelming efforts, Trevor Daley scored on a rebound late in the 1st period. This goal ended Jonathan Quicks spectacular 3 game shutout streak. The Kings came out hard in the 2nd period and scored a few minutes in, a rebound by Justin Williams tied the game at 1. At 11:27 of the 2nd period, Scott Parse scored on a one timer, catching Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen out of position, 2-1 Kings. Slava Voynov scored his first NHL goal 15 minutes into the 2nd, a powerplay goal, 3-1 Kings. Dallas started the 3rd period with a goal by Michael Ryder, followed by another 4 minutes later by Eric Nystrom, a set back for the Kings as the game was tied 3-3. At 13:08 of the 3rd, Voynov scored his second goal, giving the Kings a 4-3 lead. With 30 seconds remaining, Dustin Brown scored into an empty net, giving the Kings a 5-3 win.
