Game 50, Los Angeles Kings Vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

The Kings look to defeat the Blue Jackets to prolong their 3 game winning streak. Matt Greene got the Kings on the board at 11:05 in the 1st with a nice point shot. Anze Kopitar snipes Steve Mason at 15:46 in the 2nd, giving the Kings a 2-0 lead. 4:05 in the 3rd a failed breakout by the Blues leads to a goal by Ryan Smyth. 9:26 in the 3rd, Anze Kopitar sneaks one past Mason to give the Kings a 4-0 lead, almost securing their win if they don’t slack off, but at 10:38 Antoine Vermette sneaks on past Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick, 4-1 Kings lead. The Kings triumphantly walk to the bus as they travel to Boston to play against the Boston Bruins.
