Game 50, Los Angeles Kings Vs. Toronto Maple Leafs
Jan. 26th, The Kings prolong their three game winning streak
The Kings can almost taste a playoff spot as they face the Maple Leafs. 11:27 in the 1st, Drew Doughty gets a point shot, finding its way into the net, 1-0 Kings lead. 15:06 in the 3rd Nikolai Kulemin finds a hole and capitalizes on goaltender Jonathan Quick, 1-1 tie. Jack Johnson on the Kings at 1:54 with a nice one timer, 2-1 Kings lead. Niklas Hagman finds a short side hole on Jonathan Quick and ties the game at 8:19 in the 2nd. 12:37 in the 2nd, Jarret Stoll snipes the Blues goaltender, 3-2 Kings lead. Ryan Smyth gets the Kings a 4-2 lead at 16:12. Hagman attempts to make a last minute come back at 18:42 in the 3rd with their goalie pulled, 4-3 Kings lead. 19:50 in the 3rd, with Toronto’s net empty, the Kings get a 3 on 1, Alexander Frolov attempts to pass the puck to Drew Doughty to get him the credit for the goal, but Doughty passed it back and Frolov leaves the game with a point, 5-3 Kings are another step closer to reserving a playoff spot.
