The Kings ever so close to the playoffs attempt to get another two points from a well renown team, the Detroit Red Wings. Valtteri Filppula at 5:29 in the 1st gets the Red Wings a 1-0 lead over the Kings with a screenless shot and goal. The Red Wings get a two goal lead at 7:31 in the 1st, a power play goal to give the Red Wings a early two goal lead. The Kings get tuned in and at 1:55 in the 2nd Anze Kopitar capitalizes of the Red Wings failed breakout, 2-1 Red Wings lead by a hair. 6:27 in the 3rd, Peter Harrold ties the game at 2 with a low blocker goal. The Kings very own Brad Richardson gives the Kings a 3-2 lead at 12:03 in the 3rd. The Kings can almost taste a playoff spot but it is not guaranteed, yet.
