Game 46, Boston Bruins vs. Los Angeles Kings
Jan. 16th, Kings defeat the Bruins in a nail biting shootout
The Kings attempt to reserve a playoff spot as they face off against the Boston Bruins. Jarrett Stoll starts the Kings off at 11:42 in the 1st as the puck trickles through Tim Thomas five hole. The Bruins refuse to take a loss against the Kings as they get a nice far side shot, and goal. 10:53 into the 2nd Blake Wheeler shoots the puck, as it finds a hole through Jonathan Quick’s pads, 2-1 Bruins. 11 seconds later Michael Ryder gets a one timer goal, 3-1 Bruins. The Kings chances of winning look grim but as they enter the 3rd period they click in and get some work done. 10:53 into the 3rd a fluke goal is awarded to Dustin Brown, 3-2 the Kings trail by 1. 12:54 into the 3rd, Anze Kopitar ties the score at 3 with a point blank goal. This leads to shootout and the Kings triumphantly walk to the locker room.
