The Kings attempt once again to beat the sharks on their home turf. 3:54 into the 1^st, Dan Boyle gets a deflection from a point shot and scores on Kings goaltender, Jonathan Quick. 4:40 into the 2^nd, Dany Heatley brings the puck in front of the net and smacks it in, 2-0 Sharks lead. The Kings attempt to catch up as Randy Jones gets a rebound goal at 5:17 in the 2^nd. The Kings have a few chances in the 3^rd but are unable to generate any goals to tie the game at 2, this leaves the Kings in defeat, hoping for better luck against the Kings rivals, the Anaheim Ducks.
