Kings looking for more flesh and blood as they face the Blues. 5:29 into the first Michal Handzus was left all alone in the slot, which leads to a quick shot and goal, Kings lead 1-0. Within a minute later Anze Kopitar takes a quick, low glove hand shot, giving the Kings a 2-0 lead over the Blue Jackets. Kings make sure not to let their guard down for the 2nd and 5:33 into the 2nd Scott Parse passes the puck from behind the net to Jarret Stoll who one times the puck past the goaltenders head. As the Kings feel confident about this match up, they let up their guard for a moment leading to a Blue Jackets goal, 3-1. Kings quickly raise their guard and with 57 seconds remaining in the 2nd Anze Kopitar pops the puck in, making the score 4-1, throughout the 3rd both the Kings and the Blue Jackets step it up and it’s an action less 3rd period. Kings will drive home proud of their accomplishments made so far this year and begin to train for their next match vs. the mighty San Jose Sharks who we beat on October 6th, 6-4.
