February 2^nd, the Kings look to extend their 6 game winning streak

The Kings have beaten a number of fierce teams in the past week, including the New Jersey Devils and the Detroit Red Wings, but how about the New York Rangers? Late in the 2^nd, Anze Kopitar gets a shorthanded goal which gives the Kings a needed one goal lead. A goal by Ryan Smyth halfway through the 3^rd, off the post and in, gives the Kings a 2-0 lead over the Rangers, but will they hold the lead? Marian Gaborik gets the Rangers on the board at 17:23 in the 3^rd, with a nice deflection past goaltender Jonathan Quick, the Kings manage to hold the lead for the rest of the 3^rd and increase their winning streak to 7! Congratulations to the Kings and the organization for leading the Kings to 4^th place in the 6^th position in the entire NHL.
