The Kings faced the Dallas Stars, their last game during their 6 game road trip. Dwight King started the Kings off 8:54 into the 1st period, scoring on the short side. The Kings continued to bombard Dallas, and 8:21 into the 2nd period, Andrei Loktionov scored when Jack Johnson shot the puck off his shin guard, giving the Kings a 2-0 lead. The Dallas Stars responded 5 minutes later when Loui Eriksson scored on a backdoor one timer, 2-1 Kings lead. Dallas continued to work, and 5 minutes into the 3rd, Michael Ryder scored with a wicked wrist shot from the slot, 2-2 tie. The Kings continued to battle and newcomer Jordan Nolan scored with a deflection, 3-2 Kings. With 3 seconds remaining, Justin Williams scored on an empty net to give the Kings a 4-2 final.
