The Los Angeles Kings looked to defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets and add to their current 3 game win streak. Columbus had other ideas, as just 10 minutes into the 1st period, Mark Letestu scored with a tip-in, giving the Blue Jackets a 1 goal lead. However, 3 minutes later, Anze Kopitar capitalized on a break away, scoring a shorthanded goal, which tied the game at 1. With 9 seconds remaining in the 1stperiod, Ex-King Jack Johnson scored with a one-timer from the slot, which gave the Blue Jackets a 1 goal lead. Just over 3 minutes into the 2nd period, Letestu scored yet another goal, giving the Blue Jackets a 3-1 lead, which held for the rest of the game, giving the Blue Jackets two more points, and ending the Kings 3 game winning streak.
