If you took a poll I’m pretty sure it would be very very close because the NBA has evolved into the point guard instead of the center. This debate is between Derrick Rose, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Rajon Rondo, and Russell Westbrook. Tough tough topic to discuss. Well lets use process of elimination and see who we end up with. I think Rondo is great but until that shot improves i can’t have him below 5 on my list. Next, Deron Williams. Deron can do it all just ask the the Phoenix Suns when he had 35 and 14. But Deron just can’t lead a team. I understand the Nets suck but he himself with the little growing pieces they have their can at least win more than 3 games out of 13. Next it is Russell Westbrook. This guy is flat out explosive and knows how to lead his team with his partner Durant. He gets the job done on both ends of the floor and yes he takes too many shots but i believe he has too with the smaller amount of threats the Thunder have to score the ball other than Durant and Harden. He does it all from scoring to passing to rebounding to defense. He rounds up being third. Now it gets very interesting at this point. You have Chris Paul and you have the former MVP Derrick Rose. This is a heated argument and need multiple sources to prove a point. My opinion its Chris Paul. But many others its Derrick Rose. My reasons for Chris Paul include leadership, scoring, passing, and defense. Reasons for derrick rose is leadership, scoring, passing, and defense. Oh hey those lists are the same. Yea, thats because their so close to one another with their play which makes them the top 2. But i believe late in the game if you put it in Derrick Rose’s hands and said give me 2 points, he would definitely without a doubt drive the basketball to the whole. Well a good defender will say here shoot this mid range jump shot because ill take my chances. And thats one thing in Derrick;s game he needs to improve. Don’t get me wrong, he has improved it dramatically. Rookie season he made 16 threes. Pretty sucky for a point guard, wait up now, this past year he knocked down 128 three balls. Very impressive. So thats my one thing about Derrick Rose. But when you give the ball to CP3 and say give me a bucket. Theres not much a defense can do. He can not only shoot the ball which we al saw against the LAkers last night knocking down multiple three balls and outside jumpers, but he uses his handles and his body and hesitation to get the rim and finish with a floater or tear drop which is the best in the game right now. Its hard to stop him, just ask the Heat or Lakers when he combined for 60 points and led his team to a win in both. Thats my opinion but really it could go either way. Derrick or Chris. You pick. Their both amazing.
