Centers no longer make up the dominance of the NBA like they used too, however there are still crucial to one’s success.
). Dwight Howard: The dude is a beast down low. Howard is one of the few centers who can be dominant and demand double teams to open up shots for others. His free throw shooting could use some work but his post play makes up for it. Howard hopes to lead his Rockets to the Finals in hopes of receiving his first ring.
). Marc Gasol: Gasol has the ability to control a game from a center position. He is one of the most versatile centers we have ever seen. Gasol can do just about everything, fills up the box score. Memphis is not the same without the big man in the middle, struggling while he recovers from a knee injury. Memphis looks to get there star back on the court shortly, in hopes of changing their season around.
). Demarcus Cousins: Cousins is dominant. Simply put. He has the ability to change the game with his style of play. Cousins is having a career year averaging roughly 24 points and grabbing 12 rebounds a contest.
). Brooke Lopez: Lopez has arguably the best post game in the NBA. His ability to score with his back to the basketball is a rare feature a player contains now a days. Lopez is injured currently but look for a strong return from the beast down low in Brooklyn when he returns.
). Joakim Noah: Noah cracks the list with his scrappy play and nose for the basketball. Noah is a stat stuffer and might be the best defender on this list. Noah has picked up the slack these past couple as his running mate derrick rose remains out with knee problems.
