One good half in the NBA isn’t good enough to pick up a win. The Lakers did just that. They played a very solid one half of basketball in Houstan. Los Angeles outscored the Rockets in the first half by 5, but were outscored in the third quarter alone by 18 points which was good enough to run away with a win on their home floor. The Lakers had no answer for the best shooting guard in the league James Harden. Harden went for 38 points on 23 shots. The Rockets shot 50 free throws, only connecting on 28 of them. A big part of that was the big man in the middle for Houstan. Howard shot just as many free throws as the Laker team. Although he only connected on 10 of them, it was enough to get the Rockets past the slumping Lakers who have just 3 wins in there last 14 outings.
