The Spurs showed just how much the Clippers would miss there all star point guard. Spanking the Clippers in the first half to a score of 70-35. The Spurs had nearly a perfect first quarter, outscoring the Clippers by 20 in the first quarter alone. However the spurs weren’t done, they outscored the clippers in the next quarter by 15. Adding up to a total of a 35 point lead for the ageless Spurs going into intermission. The Clippers did not back down and played much better in the third quarter. Outscoring the Spurs 35-18 in the third quarter made it a ballgame entering the fourth. But quickly after the Clippers had cut the Spurs lead to near single digits, the Spurs quickly poured it on Lob City ending with a score of 116-92. The Clippers got a great performance out of Jamal Crawford but other than that nobody else contributed. Blake chipped in 19 but without Chris Paul running the show, Blake will need to score more than his average on the year. The Clippers could not stop big man Tiago Splitter as he went for 22 points on 12 shots before injuring his shoulder. Apparently he recieved the same injury Chris Paul did the night before; shoulder separation. The crafty Spurs had contributions from everywhere. Every player that got on the court scored. The Spurs big three combined for 51 points, 19 assists, and 16 rebounds. Although the Clippers came back, a great team like the Spurs quickly took care of them.
