I dont care what anybody says, this was a good road win. There was many analysts that said well the thunder were missing Perkins thats why they lost. No thats not why they lost. They had too many turnovers and they could not execute down the stretch. The Thunder had 19 turnovers to 17 assists. The only team you would beat with that terrible ratio is the Nets and maybe the Kings on a good day, especially not the defending champs. The Lakers had a balanced scoring afternoon. No one had more than 18. Gasol had 18, Kobe had 17, Bynum had 16 and 10 rebounds, and Artest had 10. They played good defense and great defense down the stretch where the Thunder were desperate for a bucket. I have to point on Ron Artest. He played great defense on Durant. He held him to 21 points and he forced kevin Durant to 5 turnovers. Durant still got 21 points but way under his average, and he took tough forced shots. Durant and Harden both got quality looks on the final thunder possession, but both 3 pointers did not fall in the Thunders way early sunday. Westbrook had a good game. But if the Thunder are going to go far in the playoffs, there not just going to need Westbrook and Durant to be good, their going to need them to be great. They lost a swingman Jeff Green who i thought was a key piece to their title run but they shipped him to Boston. So thats why Durant and Westbrook need to be great because they lost about 15 points a game from Green. Your not going to get double digit scoring from Perkins. Westbrook and Durant forced 12 key turnovers. The Lakers escaped Oklahoma with a solid road win.
