The Celtics got their all star back on the floor, but he wasn’t enough to get the slumping Celtics by the inconsistent Lakers. Rajon Rondo made his return to the court, just in time to see his team lose to the Lakers in a nail bitter to see who gets last place and who gets second to last place. When was the last time, the Lakers and Celtics played each other and both teams were under 500 this far into the season? Never. The Lakers moved to 15 and 25 while the Celtics dropped too 14-27 in their rebuilding year. It will be interesting to see if they trade Rajon Rondo to get further more draft picks and younger talent. I believe the celtics have 14 picks in the next 3 NBA drafts. Rondo scored 8 points and dished out 4 assists in his return after tearing his ACL last year. Pau Gasol led the Lakers in pretty much all categories. He contributed 24 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists. The spaniard has been playing better, inspiring basketball of late. Not enough to push the Lakers into the playoff picture but enough to keep them from dead last. Celtics fall to Lakers 107-104.
