The Los Angeles Kings faced the Edmonton Oilers once again, for the 3rd to last game of the season. In the first two periods of the game, the score was 0-0, but the Kings outplayed and outshot the Oilers 28 to 14. As the 3rd period came around, Slava Voynov scored the first goal of the game, just 34 seconds into the 3rd with a slap shot from the point, which gave the Kings a 1-0 lead. At the 17:28 mark of the 3rdperiod, Mike Richards and Dwight King had a 2 on 1 opportunity, and King scored off of a nice pass from Richards to give the Kings a 2-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers.
