The Los Angeles Kings looked forward to dominating the Anaheim Ducks and continue on winning streak. Just 2:40 into the 1st period, Alec Martinez scored on a shot from the point, which deflected off a Ducks defenseman and into the net. Anze Kopitar scored halfway through the 1st with a shot that hit the post and then caromed into the net, 2-0 Kings. Justin Williams scored the third of the night, when Drew Doughty and Williams had a 2 on 0 break and scored, giving them a 3-0 lead heading into the 2nd period. Early into the 2nd period, Cam Fowler scored with a shot from the point, giving the Ducks their first goal of the game. The Ducks struck again 4 minutes into the 3rdperiod, when Luca Sbisa scored on a rebound of a blocked shot, bringing the game within one. With 11 seconds remaining in the game, Mike Richards scored on an empty net, giving the Kings a 4-2 win over the Ducks.
