12/22/11 – Anaheim Ducks vs. Los Angeles Kings

The Kings faced one of their biggest rivals, the Anaheim Ducks. A close battle led to the Anaheim Ducks scoring the first goal of the game, 13:55 into the 2nd, as Niklas Hagman scored with a shot from the point. The Kings responded 2 minutes later when Mike Richards scored on a tip-in, to tie it at 1. At the 8 minute mark of the 3rd, Dustin Brown scored with a bar and down shot, 2-1 Kings. With 3 minutes remaining in the game, Lubomir Visnovsky scored to tie the game at 2. The game headed to a shootout and the Kings won on a Dustin Brown goal, 3-2 Kings.

12/6/11 – Los Angeles Kings vs. Anaheim Ducks

The Kings head to Anaheim for a game against the Ducks. Just 8 Minutes into the 1st period, Bobby Ryan scored on a wrist shot off of a giveaway by Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick to gain an early 1-0 lead. The Ducks continue to quack and Corey Perry scored with less than 3 minutes remaining in the 1st, 2-0 Ducks. The Kings battle in the 2nd period, and finally Slava Voynov scored with 16 seconds remaining in the 2nd period to give the Kings life. At the 8:50 mark of the 3rd period, Justin Williams scored with a redirect, to tie the game at 2. Despite the Kings efforts, Ryan scored his 2nd of the game with a wrist shot that popped off of Drew Doughty and over goaltender Quick, with less than a minute remaining and a 3-2 Ducks victory.

11/17/11 – Los Angeles Kings vs. Anaheim Ducks

The Kings and Ducks battled it out back to back, on consecutive nights. Less than a minute into the 2nd period, Mike Richards scored on the rush, a backhand goal short side, which gave the Kings a 1-0 lead. But 2 minutes later, Andrew Cogliano scored back door which tied the game at 1. At the 7:28 mark of the 2nd, Simon Gagne had a break away and scored a shorthanded goal, which gave the Kings a 2-1 lead. Early in the 3rd, Slava Voynov scored a nice goal back door. But the Ducks battled back and at 8:24 of the 3rd, Corey Perry scored a goal while screening Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick, 3-2 Kings. At 13:35 into the final period, Cogliano scored his second goal on a tip in front of the net, to tie the game at 3. Anze Kopitar responded 3 minutes later with a wrap around goal, 4-3 Kings. With a minute and a half remaining, the Kings were shorthanded and trying to hang on as Anaheim pulled their goalie. Mike Richards intercepted a pass and scored on the empty net, icing the 5-3 final.

11/16/11 – Anaheim Ducks vs. Los Angeles Kings

The Kings looking to feed off the momentum from their previous win against the Minnesota Wild face the Anaheim Ducks. Mike Richards scored 7:38 into the 2nd period off of a rebound which hit the boards behind the net, 1-0 Kings. The Ducks continue to battle, and at the 16:35 mark of the 3rd period, Teemu Selanne scored with a shot from the slot, which tied the game at 1. The game to a shootout and in the 7th round, Justin Williams scored to end the game as the Kings win 2-1. The Kings have another game tomorrow night, again against the Ducks.
