The Los Angeles Kings headed to Vancouver for game 5 against the Canucks leading the series 3 games to 1 and with their second opportunity to wrap it up. With 6 minutes remaining in the 1st period, Henrik Sedin scored with a one-timer on a pass from his brother Daniel, which gave the Canucks a 1-0 lead. However, just over 3 minutes into the 3rd period, the Kings hard work paid off and Brad Richardson scored off a wonderful rush and pass from Drew Doughty, which tied the game at 1. The game headed into overtime and 4:27 into overtime, Jarret Stoll picked up the puck in the neutral zone and scored with a bullet top-shelf shot, which gave the Kings a 2-1 win over the Canucks. The Kings are headed into the conference semi-finals against the upstart St. Louis Blues, who were the 2nd seed in the regular season.
