The Los Angeles Kings lead the series 2-0 over the Vancouver Canucks and hope to clinch the series at home. The Canucks made a bold move by replacing incumbent goaltender Roberto Luongo with Cory Schneider. The move appears to have paid off as the game continued scoreless for the first two periods. At the 6:30 mark of the 3rd period, Dustin Brown scored on a rebound, giving the Kings a 1-0 lead over the Canucks. The Kings managed to defend against the Canucks relentless shots, and hold on to take the win 1-0 victory. Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick managed to stop all 41 shots, and was appropriately name the games first star. The Kings managed to get only 20 shots, but it only took 1 to get the win. The Kings lead the series 3-0, and hope to sweep the Canucks at home in game 4.
