Game 1, the Kings start the playoffs on the wrong foot
The Kings look to come out hard and get a advantage on the Canucks in a 7 game series. Jarret Stoll scored a early 2nd period power play goal, a wrist shot beating Roberto Luongo. The Canucks don’t want to give the Kings any advantage. At 3:09 in the 2nd, Mikael Samuelsson tied the score 1-1 with a wrist shot rebound. Five minutes later, Daniel Sedin scored on a 2 on 1, 2-1 Canucks, 4:30 later, Fredrik Modin scores on a bang-bang play, 2-2 tie. The Kings go into overtime and at 8:52 are defeated by Samuelsson with a one timer slapshot, 3-2 Kings lose. The Kings look to tie the series at 1 on Saturday night.
