Just 17 seconds later, Nick Johnson scored by slashing the glove of Kings goaltender Jonathan Bernier, and dislodged the puck, giving him his first NHL goal, and the Wild a 2-1 lead. At the15:31 mark of the 1st period, Dustin Brown scored on a rebound, which tied the game at 2. Less than a minute into the 2ndperiod, Brad Richardson scored his second of the night on a wrap around, and gave the Kings a 3-2 lead. Unable to hold the lead, Eric Christensen scored on a tip in, 11 minutes into the 3rd period, which tied the game at 3. The game headed into a shootout, and Christensen scored as the first shooter for the Wild, which ended up winning the game, 4-3 Wild.
