The Los Angeles Kings continue their final games of the season, and push for a playoff spot, as they prepared to face the Edmonton Oilers. Less than a minute into the 1st period, a Dwight King shot was deflected by Anze Kopitar, and into the net, 1-0 Kings. Less than a minute later, Jordan Eberle scored on a power play, which tied the game at 1. At 10:48 of the 1st period, Mike Richards got a breakaway and scored shorthanded, giving the Kings a 2-1 lead. At the 6:44 mark of the 2nd period, Drew Doughty scored on a slap shot from the point, which gave the Kings a 3-1 lead. Midway into the 3rd period, Alec Martinez scored on a rebound, which gives the Kings a 4-1 win, and 2 more points towards the playoffs.
