The Los Angeles Kings, in the midst of a 3 game winning streak, which they tried to extend to 4, if they can overcome the Nashville Predators. At the 7:43 mark of the 1st period, Anze Kopitar scored with a wrist shot from the slot, giving the Kings a 1-0 lead. The Predators continued to battle, and 13:43 into the 2nd period, Martin Erat scored with a one-timed slapshot from the point, which tied the game at 1. At the 8:04 mark of the 3rd, Dustin Penner scored on a 2 on 1, with a nifty pass from Trevor Lewis, the Kings up 2-1. Just 5 minutes later, Dwight King scored on a breakaway, scoring 5-hole and giving the Kings a 3-1 lead and 3 minutes after that, Kyle Clifford scored on a breakaway, which gave the Kings a 3 goal lead. With 2:43 remaining in the game, Mike Fisher scored from in front of the net, but it wasn’t enough, and the Kings take with win 4-2.
