The Los Angeles Kings looked to rebound after losing a shootout 2 nights ago as they prepared to face the Calgary Flames. The game was a toss up, but less than 30 seconds into the 2nd, Mike Richards, got a 2 on 0 opportunity and buried the puck, giving the Kings a 1-0 lead. The Kings continued to bombard the Flames, and just over two minutes later, Matt Greene scored with a shot from the point, giving the Kings a 2-0 lead 3 minutes into the 2nd period. At the 14:48 mark of the 2nd, Anze Kopitar scored on a rebound, giving the King a 3-0 lead. Unfortunately, a minute later, Mike Cammalleri scored by tipping the puck out of mid air and past Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick, 3-1 Kings. With a minute remaining in the game, Dustin Brown scored on an empty net to extinguish the Flames, 4-1 and gain the Kings a valuable 2 points in their playoff push.
