The Los Angeles Kings headed back on the road to play the Phoenix Coyotes. Dustin Brown started the game off early in the 2nd period by jamming the puck Phoenix’s Mike Smith, a powerplay goal. At 15:23 of the 2nd period, Kyle Clifford scored with a shot from the top of the slot, after a nice pass from Kevin Westgarth, giving the Kings a 2-0 win over the Phoenix Coyotes. Jonathon Quick recorded his second straight shutout, stopping 28 shots. The Kings improved their record to an impressive 4-1-1 and head home for a game on Saturday night, against the red hot Dallas Stars.
