After an upsetting defeat by the New Jersey Devils, the Kings look to redeem themselves against the Philadelphia Flyers. 2:30 into the first, the Flyers find themselves on a powerplay and capitalize to give themselves a 1-0 lead. The Kings fight back and Justin Williams, a former Flyer, scores a bar down powerplay goal at 11:29 in the first, tieing the game at 1. After a scoreless 2nd period, Williams scores another goal, at 12:35 in the 3rd, giving the Kings a 2-1 lead. But about a minute later, Matt Carle scores on a wide open net, a powerplay goal. With the game tied at 2, they head into overtime. 1:39 into overtime, Jack Johnson deflects the puck in, giving the Kings a 3-2 win over the Flyers, the Kings will play Tuesday at home against the St. Louis Blues.
