The NBA all star gama took place in the bright lights of New York, the mecca of basketball as they say. No better place to throw all the all stars for the weekend. The events were nothing but a success for the fans. Stephen Curry winning the three point contest, go figure. Zach Lavine took the slam dunk trophy all the way back to Minnesota while the West won a close fought game between Lebron James and the East. The game was nothing short of the high expectation we gave the weekened, despite all the injuries which occured leading up towards the game leaving key players off each squad. The west were without starters alone, Kobe Bryant, Blake Griffin, and Anthony Davis. 2 of 3 who failed to even make the venue. Both California boys were back home relaxing on the beach in their time off. Russell Westbrook took home MVP honors, while pouring in 41 points and pulling down 6 rebounds. Russell’s old teammate James harden had somethong to say about the MVP case as he poured in a near triple double. Former MVP Chris paul was without his running mate Blake Griffin however he managed to put in 12 points and a game high 15 assissts. The East came up short but didn’t come up short with the highlights. Lebron James Highlights. Lebron dumped in 30 but wasn’t able to come through down the stretch.
