If you guys remember right, the Clippers and Grizzlies squared off in the first round of the playoffs last year. Although this year, both teams are very different. If you guys remembered last year, the Clippers bench struggled as the Grizzles bench was terrific. This year the clippers have the deepest bench in the NBA while the Grizzlies bench is in serious need of improvement. So onto the game, game 1 consisted of the battle of the benches. The game was very close going into the final quarter then the Clippers bench entered the game. Eric Bledsoe had a huge night off the bench scoring double figures in the fourth quarter alone. As a clipper fan believe that the Clippers are a contender when Eric Bledsoe is on his game. Reason being, he is questionably the best back up point guard in the NBA and when he’s right, no one can stop him. He finished game 1 with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assissts in just 18 minutes. However the Clippers got major contributions from everyone off the bench. The bench scored 49 points. That is simply amazing. Crawford finished with 13, Barnes had 10, Bledsoe had 15, while Odom, Hollins, and Turiaf combined for 11 and 10 rebounds. Meanwhile the Grizzles strarters scored just 2 points more than the Clippers bench. Chris Paul was solid as always scoring 23 points while dishing out 7 dimes, turning the ball over just once. The Clippers leave game 1 with a blow out win, winning by a score of 112-91.
