The city match tiped off this year on the clippers homecourt but that didn’t matter much because their were more Laker fans in the crown then clipper fans. But both fans were in for a treat. The game came down to a final shot. 3 lead changes in the final 40 seconds. Ill brake down the last 40 seconds. The Lakers were down the majority of the second half until the bench got them back into the game, when shannon borwn scored the last 11 points to end the third quarter including a 3/4 of the court shot at the buzzer. In the final minute the lakers took the lead off a steal by Artest which ended up with a midrange shot for the best closer in the game Kobe Bryant. But then Eric Gordon finds Deandre Jordan for a monster slan dunk with around 11 seconds left. Lakers slowly bring the ball down, but then the clippers fall because they had a foul to give and if they would have done it a second later they would have won the game. They fouled at 3.1 seconds left and that was enough time for Derick Fisher to catch the ball at the 3 point line and drive it all the way to to the rim for a running left handed layup at the buzzer. It was a very close call to weater it would count or not but it did count. Its usually Kobe taking that shot, but this time its the other captain Derick Fisher. Some good news for the Lakers is that the big fellow will be back within the next week and that will help. He will bring shotblocking and rebounding, and 12-15 points a game. 87-86 Lakers
