The Dodgers were crushed in their final meeting with the Padres on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Dodger stadium. The padres threw James Shields on the mound, and that usually tends to call for success. Shields improved too 6-0 on the year. Shields had an early run support to work with, which never hurts. Justin Upton was responsible for those runs as he alone drove in 6 before the second inning was over. Despite losing by 8 in the final matchup between the two teams, the Dodgers were able to take the first 2 games of the series. A late home run by the rookie stud Joc Pederson helped the Dodgers take game 1 as Mike Bolsinger pitched a near perfect 8 innings allowing just 1 hit in game 2 giving the Dodgers their 26th victory of the year. The padres lose 2 out of 3 however get a great win at Dodgers stadium Sunday blowing out the Dodgers 11-3 improving too 21-24 on the year.
