Game 53, Los Angeles Kings Vs. New Jersey Devils
The Kings currently on a five game winning streak attempted to extend their current six game winning streak against the feared, New Jersey Devils. Early in the 1st Johnny Oduya shot down the Kings chemistry, as well as getting the Devils an early one goal lead. The Kings played hard in the first but couldn’t score on Brodeur. Late in the 2nd period Michael Handzus finally snuck one past Martin Brodeur, pulling the Kings back into a one goal game. At the 18:14 mark of the 3rd, Wayne Simmonds, scored from a sharp angle, to tie the game at 2.
